From the stars

He hung.

From the stars.

Eventually he fell.

All the way.

Completely, utterly in love.

She fell too.

From the dark.

They melded.

They would have many babies.

    1. Thank you Laura, like many of my posts this one is rather sparse, and I did wonder what readers would make of it. Thank you for the lovely comment. :-)

  2. Opposites do attract. So glad they will have many babies to blend the light and the dark. Maybe the world will be a better place because of it. I hope so. The world needs to be a better place. Good stuff, my friend. As always.

    1. You are very perceptive Stephen, I was toying with the idea of "Opposites attract" and this very short post was what my muse threw out, I wasn't even sure if it would make sense to anyone.

And the world does indeed need to be a better place my friend, thank you for the very kind words. :-)

  6. A nice little snippet of emotion. The last line made me chuckle though, in a good way :).

    1. Thanks Casey, it's a bit of a strange one this, and I am happy with the responses, if it makes people smile then it was worth the writing. :-)

  7. Oh, the cosmic love surging through this piece! Sweet!
Metaphorically or not, will the babies sparkle?

    1. Hi Cindy. Yes I do think the babies will be numerous, and very sparkly. :-)

    1. Thank you Katherine, mythic is a very apt word. I think this piece could be interpreted in many ways, from just the attraction of opposite sexes, to the merging of two universe-creating entities, as Cindy hinted at. I am very pleased with the different ways readers have perceived it. :-)

  9. I also got the "creation mythos" vibe from this one. I'd like to see what kind of people (beings?) came up with it!
